As with any formidable family business, talks of making a mark and leaving a legacy will always be on the table. This is what Dr Paolo Santos, managing director of HOO Dermatology and son of its founder and president Jose Santos, zeroed in on as he welcomed the intimate crowd at HOO Dermatology’s Ayala Malls The 30th branch a few weeks ago.
Complete with elaborate food and the jovial energy of all those present, the event was a fitting celebration of the brand’s mission and its continued commitment to excellence—one they evidently share with long-time partner Merz Aesthetics®, best known as the pioneers of Ultherapy®.

Dr Santos remarked in his speech, “We want our lives, actions, missions and visions to mean something, not just right now but for generations to come.” During an interview with Tatler at the venue, he took us back to the inception of HOO Dermatology in 2007 and how the family-owned name began its course as the exclusive distributor of the highly acclaimed prescription skincare line of Obagi Medical.

Ultimately a festive occasion that brought business partners, experts in science, and beauty enthusiasts together, the recently concluded affair at Ayala Malls The 30th never once lost the feel of reuniting a close-knit group.
