Cover HSBC recently hosted an exclusive event to celebrate the launch of its refreshed Premier proposition

The enhanced proposition now delivers comprehensive solutions that integrate four key pillars—wealth, health, international, and travel & lifestyle—uniquely tailored to affluent customers and their global ambitions. This cements HSBC’s position as a trusted partner who understands and anticipates their customers’ aspirations

What does the future of wealth management look like? More importantly, what role can banks play to help their customers navigate this evolving landscape?

As the landscape of global finance shifts, affluent individuals today face a myriad of challenges—from managing international investments to portfolio diversification, and ensuring comprehensive health and wellness support. According to HSBC’s Quality of Life report 2024, which captured insights from 11,230 affluent investors across 11 markets, 45 percent of parents in Singapore with children studying abroad and 44 percent of expatriates highlight the importance of seamless cross-border payments. 24/7 global banking support is also increasingly viewed as essential; 26 percent of parents and 30 percent of expatriates emphasised the need for round-the-clock financial services.

As these individuals increasingly seek personalised solutions that address their needs, it underscores the need for banks to evolve and redefine their roles—no longer as mere traditional service providers but as trusted partners who understand and anticipate their customers’ unique yet complex aspirations.

In a direct response to these evolving needs, HSBC has taken a bold step forward with its refreshed Premier offering. Launched in October in Singapore, this enhanced service is designed specifically to meet the evolving demands of affluent and internationally mobile customers. HSBC’s Premier offering has long been a cornerstone for affluent clients, providing them with access to tailored financial services that address their unique needs. The enhanced proposition now delivers comprehensive solutions that integrate four key pillars: wealth management, health protection, international services, and travel privileges—thus offering a strengthened banking experience that will resonate deeply with HSBC clientele.

At the forefront of the elevated Premier offering is the new Future Planner tool in the HSBC mobile banking app. This feature empowers customers to set, track, and customise their financial aspirations—be it saving for retirement, funding their children’s education or purchasing a home. By assessing individual needs and readiness, Future Planner provides actionable recommendations and connects clients with a dedicated Relationship Manager for expert guidance.

On the health and wellness front, HSBC recognises that physical health remains a top priority for many affluent individuals. Through its Premier offering, the bank has introduced a suite of health services to provide access to discounted virtual doctor consultations, complimentary insurance coverage, regular health check-ups, and mental health support through strategic medical partnerships.

In an increasingly globalised world, seamless cross-border transactions are essential for affluent individuals. That is where HSBC’s refreshed Premier offering comes in: through enhanced international banking capabilities with 24/7 global support and streamlined cross-border payment solutions. This ensures that customers can manage their finances effortlessly across different jurisdictions, making it easier to pursue opportunities abroad.

The Premier Mastercard credit card elevates the lifestyle experience for HSBC’s affluent clients by offering exclusive travel, dining, and entertainment benefits. From airport lounge access to limousine rides, concierge services, and bespoke dining experiences with top-tier merchants, these privileges are designed to enrich the lives of customers both at home and while travelling.
