Instagram has been one of the many social media platforms today that has given people the opportunity to establish their distinct, individual branding, and keep up with many renowned brands and institutions also marketing heavily on the internet. It has introduced to us the term, "influencers", which pertains to people with a significant number of following and gives tips, advice, and product reviews.

With the social media world being fast and dynamic, we have come to the point where these content creators have not only become our sources of inspiration, trends, opinions, and entertainment, they have also become the extensions of many brands in their marketing. The difference is that they promote them personally, sincerely, and unbiased.

HopperHQ, an automated planning and scheduling tool for Instagram used by brands and influencers, has released its global list of highest-earning Instagram personalities of 2021. Topping the list are Cristiano Ronaldo, Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, and Kylie Jenner. Among the expansive list, three Filipinas have been included:

1. Michelle Dy: 1,647,173 followers

On the 269th spot of the global list is beauty guru Michelle Dy. Not only does she have a huge presence on Instagram, but she also is a popular content creator on Facebook and YouTube, wherein she was one of the first Filipino content creators. Her content is mostly about tips and tutorials on makeup and skincare and she delivers this with her quirky personality.

2. Joyce Pring-Triviño: 672,627 followers

Television and radio host and personality Joyce Pring has been one of the most followed influencers both on social and traditional mass media. In fact, in 2017, she was named the Top Lifestyle Influencer in Asia by Influencer Asia. What made her stand out is her kind heart, being a World Vision ambassador, and her unmatched style and substance as seen and heard in her podcast show Adulting with Joyce Pring.

3. Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez: 244,239 followers

Model and entrepreneur Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez is no stranger amongst the Tatler community. Through her platforms on social media, she shares her skincare routine, her travel adventures with family, and her Saturday Night Life with Mikaela reels (where she speaks with different personalities) to her followers. As a mother, she advocates multiple intelligence, secondhand fashion, and more.
