Founded in 1989, Spritzer has grown to become a leading mineral water brand in Malaysia, achieving a three-star rating in the Superior Taste Award 2022 from the International Taste Institute for its silica-rich natural mineral water.

Its current group CEO, Kenny Lim, is no stranger to the business. As the son of founder Dato' Lim Kok Boon, the younger Lim has been involved in operations for the past two decades since 2003. We speak to him about running the family business and his aspirations to reduce the brand’s environmental impact.

Though his father founded the company, Lim was granted no special privileges. Instead, he was appointed as a van sales personnel at a young age, an intentional move to immerse him in the daily operations and groundwork of the company.

Lim was then involved in Spritzer as a sales executive, working his way up the ranks to become the marketing manager, deputy general manager, and general manager. In 2016, his dedication led to his appointment as the group CEO, a testament to his profound journey within the company.

During this time, he has witnessed remarkable transformation within the company. “Evolving from traditional work methods employed two decades ago to embracing cutting-edge technologies today, Spritzer's progress is truly inspiring and fulfilling," he enthuses.

With a trusted and dependable team effectively handling day-to-day operations, Lim has taken a step back from direct involvement, channelling his focus into envisioning, discussing, and strategising expansion plans alongside the top management team. He believes challenging boundaries and embracing novelty will propel the team towards achievements and new opportunities.

“As we embark on this transformative journey, our unwavering dedication to progress will propel us toward a brighter, more sustainable future,” he says.
