Cover The Eye Ball 2024 is themed “Oriental Eye”,

The Eye Ball supports VisionSave, the Singapore National Eye Centre and Singapore Eye Research Institute's philanthropic initiative which aims to prevent vision loss, advance eye care research, and provide crucial financial assistance to eye patients in need

Many of us take our sight for granted. But for some, vision loss can be devastating for it impedes everyday activities and takes away milestones and memories, not only for the patient but also for their families.

Even so, 80 per cent of blindness is preventable.

This is why VisionSave, the philanthropic initiative of the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI), seeks to save sight and support the underprivileged with vision challenges.

Through its annual fundraising gala dinner and auction, The Eye Ball, the campaign raises funds in support of its causes, including providing financial assistance for needy patients with sight-threatening disease; nurturing future leaders in eye care through scholarships and training; supporting research and innovation to diagnose and treat eye diseases more effectively; and educating the public on the importance of good eye health.

The 12th edition of the Ball returns  on  August 31, at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. With the theme “Oriental Eye”, The Eye Ball 2024 brings together key individuals in Singapore’s philanthropic and medical landscape, alongside patients who will share how donations have changed their lives.

Besides the dinner and charity auctions, there will be performances by homegrown talents, while the contributions of Singaporeans who have made strides in improving eye health will be recognised through an awards ceremony.
