“At Pawssion Project, we truly believe that all animals deserve care and attention. Just like humans, they thrive when they are well loved and taken care of”, shares Malou Perez, Pawssion Project founder. “This International Homeless Animals Day, we hope to show support for our furry friends, raise funds for the projects that will help care for them, and drive awareness about important animal welfare issues,” she continues.
Pawssion Project’s IHAD campaign and festivities began with a kick-off event last August 14, 2022 in the BHS Central Amphitheater featuring sunset yoga, acoustic sets, and demos of low-cost services, accompanied by a special IHAD Adoption Drive at Market! Market!.
An art exhibit capturing the plight of stray animals, set up at the Bonifacio High Street last August 15, will be available for viewing until the 20th. Alongside this, different animal welfare groups, keynote speakers, and celebrities conducted a whole-day event and forum on animal welfare issues on August 18. Ending the commemoration on a high note, the Pawssion Project will hold a musical variety show called “Pawchella.”
“We’ve been fortunate enough to work with numerous volunteers who have donated their time and resources towards our cause. It is truly heartwarming to witness how the community cares enough for the neglected to take steps toward making a difference in the lives of our shelter and stray animals. Pawchella is the culmination and celebration of all our efforts,” added Perez
Pawchella is open to the general public free of charge and will be held at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig from 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM on August 20, 2022 however, through this link, you can pledge a month's worth of food, shelter, and medicines for furbabies in need for PHP 1,500. As a simple token, the organization will honour you with access to the VIP area during the Pawchella concert, accompanied by a bottled coffee flask from Stay Up Espresso Bar.
