The International School Manila Parent Community Association (ISM-PCA) hosted its inaugural charity gala—a night dedicated to supporting the Vicky Sycip Herrera Filipino Scholarship fund.
Amidst the elegant setting of The Grand Ballroom at Solaire Casino and Resort, the black-tie charity affair, featuring both live and silent auctions, displayed the abiding commitment of the ISM community to empower deserving Filipino students through education.
The scholarship, named in honour of former ISM teacher and beloved counsellor Vicky Sycip Herrera, serves as a beacon of hope for talented students with financial needs. It provides educational opportunities, including tuition and extracurricular expenses, allowing recipients to pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints—a testament to Herrera’s enduring legacy of compassion and dedication to education.
The evening unfolded with a cocktail reception, where guests had the opportunity to peruse an impressive array of items up for bidding. From priceless artworks to bespoke travel packages, each bid contributed directly to the scholarship fund, showing the collective generosity of guests to supporting academic opportunities for Filipino youth.
Hosted by ISM alumna, parent, and Tatler Homes Philippines editor Stephanie Zubiri, the programme commenced with opening remarks from ISM Superintendent Bill Brown, setting the stage for an inspiring evening ahead.
