The EtonHouse Community Fund also launched the book "Lifting Half the Sky" with stories of inspiring women in Singapore

Led by its founder and chairwoman Ng Gim Choo, EtonHouse has transformed Singapore’s early education landscape and endowed children with the joy of learning. And it’s charity arm, EtonHouse Community Fund (ECF), which has IPC, or Institution of Public Character, status hopes to extend the same to all by providing underprivileged children and youth in Singapore with support and resources to enhance their lives through education. To date, ECF has impacted more than 16,000 families.

To raise funds and awareness of its work, ECF organised a charity gala in March and, on the occasion of International Women's Day, it also launched a book titled Lifting Half the Sky featuring the stories of 10 women entrepreneurs in Singapore. They include Ng herself, Susan Chong, the founder and CEO of Greenpac, and Nurul Jihadah Hussain, the founder of The Codette Project. With their many hats and different roles, each woman shares stories of overcoming adversity and achieving success.

Through the book, Ng, who is also the founder and director of ECF, hopes to inspire women to achieve their dreams. All proceeds from the book sale and the gala will go towards ECF to advance the educational needs of underprivileged children.
