This is the third year in a row that Cartier and its network of young dynamic scions will be recognising and rewarding young social entrepreneurs

Launched in 2019, Red Club x Cartier, once a small gathering of European entrepreneurs of Chinese descent, has blossomed into a global network with a commitment to building conscious leadership among young multicultural leaders from different backgrounds and industries. From its early beginnings with pioneers from Italy, France, and the UK, the initiative now boasts 12 global chapters, and a rich tapestry of 37 entrepreneurs hailing from 20 diverse sectors. And yet, its core remains unchanged—the fervour to influence and inspire the next generation of leaders.

In a press conference earlier this week, it was revealed how Red Club x Cartier’s reach has grown beyond its European-Chinese origin, opening its doors to anyone with a bi-cultural background, reflecting the fusion of ideas, cultures, and industries it celebrates. The age limit, however, stays at 40, ensuring that the club’s energy remains youthful and dynamic.

This week, Red Club x Cartier proudly announced the commencement of the application process for the 2024 edition of its Young Leader Award (YLA). Open to emerging social entrepreneurs between the ages of 20 to 40, this award seeks those embarking on ventures that not only promise profitability, but also a sustainable future.

This year’s theme, “Tech for a Sustainable Future,” is particularly evocative, given the pressing environmental and societal issues facing the world. The 2024 YLA will shine the spotlight on young tech-savvy visionaries whose endeavours are sculpting the future with sustainable technological solutions. Hosted by the Southeast Asia and Oceania chapter—a region that has become a magnet for entrepreneurial talent—this edition promises to recognise game-changing ideas and ventures.

Cyrille Vigneron, president and CEO of Cartier SA, commented on the initiative, stating, “The Red Club x Cartier is privileged to support young visionary leaders who connect technology, innovation, and sustainability for positive change. These leaders are the architects of the future, bridging gaps, fostering economic progress, and improving environmental and social well-being.”

The clock has started ticking, with the application window for the 2024 Young Leader Award now open until January 31, 2024. Hopefuls can head over to the Red Club website for eligibility criteria and to throw their hat in the ring.

The stakes? The eventual winner of the YLA 2024 will receive a €50,000 grant, with the next three in line receiving €10,000 each. The winner will also be enveloped in a cocoon of support, including a tailor-made mentorship program provided by this year’s partner academic institutions—the National University of Singapore Business School and the University of Sydney Business School. Of course, the win will come with media exposure and access to the expansive Red Club x Cartier network.

The four top finalists will be announced in June 2024, with the grand award ceremony set to land in Singapore in October 2024.
