Epsom College was founded and granted royal patronage by Queen Victoria in 1855 and has since been consistently ranked as one of the UK’s leading independent schools. In 2022, Epsom was voted “Independent School of the Year” (both as the Overall Winner, and as School of the Year for Student Wellbeing).
Epsom’s legacy extends to Asia with Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM) as its only sister school. ECiM leverages nearly 200 years of heritage and excellence to provide a holistic British boarding school experience on a sprawling 80-acre campus, only 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The campus houses top-tier sports facilities including a 30-bay covered golf driving range and short game practice facilities, a FIFA-approved 4G AstroTurf football pitch, rugby, and cricket pitches, an AstroTurf hockey pitch, and 11-ITF compliant indoor and outdoor tennis courts, including Asia’s only indoor clay courts. All this alongside world-class art, design, music, and science-specialised classrooms.

Each student benefits from The Epsom Advantage—a tailored university support programme that emphasises personalised one-to-one guidance and a clearly defined roadmap to university admissions—alongside additional resources such as the Oxbridge Alumni Mentorship Programme and on-site Elite University Tutors.
Its commitment to learning extends beyond the conventional learning space. Students can gain first-hand world insights from C-suite executives and industry leaders through the student-moderated Epsom Live Talk series, which has featured distinguished guests such as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (the former Prime Minister of Malaysia), Tengku Taufik (CEO of Petronas), Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz (the former Minister of Trade and Industry in Malaysia), David Dufrenois (the head of global management of Airbus in Southeast Asia), to name a few. Students also have access to custom internships at some of Malaysia’s biggest corporations through long-established connections with industry leaders across the country.
ECiM’s collaboration with the Asia School of Business (ASB), in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)—the top university in the world ranked by QS—is an example of one of the many initiatives undertaken by ECiM to inspire curiosity beyond the curriculum. This unique alliance with two of the world’s leading academic institutions has led to an extended curriculum that provides students with the opportunity to interact with global experts in their respective fields across various disciplines like artificial intelligence, robotics, business, economics, and computer science.

The Mouratoglou Tennis Programme, launched in 2022 in collaboration with coach Patrick Mouratoglou, brings the world-class Mouratoglou methodology used to train players such as Serena Williams, Holger Rune, and Coco Gauff to Asia for the first time.
For junior golfers, the ECM Golf Academy is helmed by PGA professional coaches, well-versed in coaching and preparing students to excel in not only the sport but also tournament play. Lastly, the LaLiga Academy Malaysia offers elite football training inspired by the methodology used to train players such as Lionel Messi. The ECM Music Academy will soon be added to the roster for musically gifted students looking to develop their talents further and consider entry into the world’s top music conservatories.
