Epsom International School offers the best of both worlds, a world standard in holistic education with the comforts of home

Students educated within the British academic system are proven to be among the most employable in the world. They are recognised as adept analytical thinkers who boast excellent communication skills derived from the curriculum developed in the home of the English language. Parents typically choose to send their children to British boarding schools to become more self-reliant and independent, personal attributes that day school education pathways cannot always offer. Boarders exhibit a sense of personal responsibility that their day school peers may not develop until at least college or university age.

Epsom International School in Malaysia is the only sister school of Epsom College in the UK, voted one of the United Kingdom’s top co-ed boarding schools by The Telegraph and The Times. Located just 45 minutes outside of KL city centre and 15 minutes from KLIA, Epsom provides students with a truly British boarding school experience—an on-campus community feel, engagement with academic staff in a pastoral setting and a distraction-free academic environment—just a stone’s throw away from home. Parents have discovered the benefits of space, time, safety, adventure and all-round success for their children at Epsom, safe in the knowledge that all their needs will be catered for.

Epsom Malaysia’s curriculum augments nearly 200 years’ of tradition and academic excellence at Epsom College UK with practical instruction that is culturally and contextually relevant to a fast-growing Asia. Epsom promotes equal proficiency in English and Mandarin, the global languages spoken by more than a third of the world’s population, through a Mandarin Immersion Programme—for prep school students. The prep school curriculum is also supplemented by contextually relevant teaching such as the Singapore Maths learning strategy.

Across the school, students are encouraged to achieve conversational Mandarin fluency upon graduation, benchmarked against an internationally recognised HSK certification. Epsom offers students a truly holistic school experience through a Future Ready curriculum that delivers excellent academic results (73 per cent A*/A at A-Level and IGCSE alongside entry to top universities such as Cambridge, Imperial, LSE,  and Stanford) and facilitates internships at Malaysia’s most successful companies and organisations to allow students to engage in real-world application of classroom learning. An established and vibrant Super Curricular programme educates future leaders to be principled, moral, bright and conscientious citizens of the world by focusing on a student’s holistic development.

Bespoke, highly personalised learning with small teacher to student ratios and a 24/7 open door policy for after-school academic and pastoral support sets Epsom apart. For students from English as an Additional Language (EAL) backgrounds, this also means receiving specialist transition classes as they progress through the school. The Epsom Advantage and the American Admissions Programme are individualised university support programmes for students looking to pursue higher education at top global universities and in the US.
