On October 1 and 2, Singapore will host the largest international crypto event, Token2049, at Marina Bay Sands
As the cryptocurrency industry matures and evolves beyond its early speculative phase, Token2049 has emerged as the definitive gathering that captures the zeitgeist of digital assets.
Organised semi-annually in Singapore and Dubai, the upcoming October 2025 edition in Singapore promises to be the most expansive yet, with organisers expecting 25,000 attendees at the festival-like event. Aside from keynotes and panel discussions, attendees can expect experiences including a rock-climbing wall, zipline, pickleball courts, recreational activities, wellness offerings and Token2049’s signature premium dining.
“We’re incredibly excited for what will be the largest industry gathering of the year, with the global crypto community converging in Singapore. This will be our most ambitious edition yet,” says co-founder Alex Fiskum.

What began as a regional cryptocurrency gathering has transformed into what some describe as the Davos of digital assets. In 2022, Token2049 Singapore attracted over 7,000 attendees. By 2024, that number had nearly tripled to 20,000 attendees, accompanied by over 800 side events, transforming Singapore into a temporary crypto capital.
The 2025 speaker lineup reveals Token2049’s evolution toward mainstream financial legitimacy. While early cryptocurrency conferences often featured predominantly technical presentations from blockchain developers, this year’s roster includes traditional finance heavyweights alongside crypto natives. Headliners include Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr of World Liberty Financial; Fundstrat CIO Tom Lee; Robinhood Chairman and CEO Vlad Tenev; Tether’s CEO Paolo Ardoino; founder of The Network State Balaji Srinivasan; and CIO of Maelstrom Arthur Hayes.

On top of 1,000 side events that will be hosted throughout the week, this year’s edition will debut the Origins Hackathon, a 36-hour development sprint for 160 of the world’s most talented developers and builders to transform an idea into a working Web3 product.
Over the two days, the second edition of Nexus, the largest Web3 startup competition, will be held in collaboration with leading venture investors Dragonfly, Pantera and Maelstrom. Early stage startups, those who have raised less than US$5 million in funding, will get a chance to meet industry leaders, receive funding and take to the world stage with a showcase at Token2049.
These initiatives establish Token2049 not just as a place to connect, but as a launchpad for the next wave of industry innovations.
