The crypto industry’s largest annual gathering returns to Marina Bay Sands on October 7 and 8, 2026, and Token2049 organisers expect 25,000 attendees from more than 7,000 companies across 160 countries to fill all five floors of the venue

Crypto’s story over the past year has been one of contradictions. Bitcoin has traded near record highs, the United States government has begun holding Bitcoin as part of its financial reserves, and major banks have launched their own crypto products, all signs that digital assets are being treated as part of the financial mainstream. At the same time, the overall value of the crypto market has fallen by more than a trillion dollars since October, a reminder that volatility has not gone away even as the industry grows up.

That contradiction is the backdrop for Token2049, which returns to Marina Bay Sands on October 7 and 8, 2026. Held twice a year in Singapore and Dubai, the event’s Dubai edition is moving to 2027, leaving organisers’ full attention on Singapore this year. Co-founder Alex Fiskum says “Our full focus this year is on Singapore. We’ll also unveil new tracks and formats in the coming weeks as we expand the institutional side of the programme. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Token2049 this October for the largest industry gathering of the year.”

Nasdaq’s chief executive, Adena Friedman, is set to appear alongside Eric Trump and hedge fund manager Tom Lee, a lineup organisers say reflects a deepening pull between Wall Street and crypto’s own founders, among them Polymarket’s Shayne Coplan and Hyperliquid Labs’ Jeff Yan. Executives from BlackRock, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley are also expected to attend.

For investors, the line-up is worth watching as a sign of where big finance is placing its attention, though it is a signal of interest rather than a guarantee of returns. For everyone else, it is a chance to see the industry’s biggest names in one place.

Beyond the main stage

Beyond the keynote stages, Token2049 Week spans more than 1,000 side events across Singapore, including the second edition of Token2049 Origins—a 36-hour hackathon—and the Nexus Startup Competition. The finalists this year will be judged by venture firms Dragonfly, Multicoin and Maelstrom.

The same week also hosts Digital Asset Summit Asia, Sui Basecamp, the Network State Conference and the Milken Institute Asia Summit.

The week does not end when the conference does. On October 9, Token2049’s official closing event, After 2049, takes over the 57th floor of the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck.

German house producer Claptone headlines, joined by Madrid’s Crusy, with returning acts ANONM and Hong Kong’s Leon, alongside Milam and Mo-Shi. Polygon Live also returns with its hemispherical 360° spatial audio rig. Instead of sound coming from a single direction, individual elements of each track move around, above and through the crowd, creating a more immersive, three-dimensional experience that puts guests inside the music.
