The Pink October event also welcomed celebrated singer Hong Nhung, one of Vietnam’s most iconic voices, as a guest of honour. Toward the end of 2024, she shared her personal breast cancer journey, inspiring women to prioritise their health and seek early screening. Throughout her treatment, she maintained an unwavering optimism, continuing to compose, rehearse and perform. Her presence at the Pink October event added heartfelt resonance to the evening, underscoring the importance of empathy and solidarity with Vietnamese breast cancer patients.

The Pink October evening also offered an elevated artistic experience, featuring a piano performance and an appearance by singer Viet Thu, runner-up of the 2023 Hay Nghe Toi Hat competition and the voice behind the hit Chao em co gai Lam Hong. A charity auction was also held, with all proceeds donated to the Breast Cancer Network Vietnam, the country’s leading non-profit supporting patients and survivors.
