This year at Tatler Ball, we come together for the women who need a safe place, a helping hand, and hope

Tatler Ball has long been a night defined by elegance, celebration and a sense of togetherness. This year, Tatler Ball 2025 shines an even brighter light on compassion and purpose, honouring two organisations that stand beside women when they need it most.

Together, the Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO) and the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA) work tirelessly to protect, support, and uplift women across Malaysia—ensuring they have safety, care, and strength to rebuild their lives.

For over 40 years, WAO has been a safe haven for women and children escaping domestic violence. They’ve welcomed nearly 2,000 survivors into their shelters and offered thousands of calls, messages, and face-to-face consultations to guide women through some of the hardest moments in their lives. With counselling, legal support, and emotional care, WAO helps women find safety, strength, and hope for the future.

Driven by their mission to promote respect, protection, and equal rights for women, WAO works to eliminate discrimination and end violence against women. Their vision is a society where all women can enjoy their human rights fully, free from fear and inequality.

Since 1986, BCWA has been supporting women affected by breast cancer, offering guidance, care, and resources to patients and survivors. They also run awareness campaigns, educational programmes, and community outreach to promote breast health, with a focus on underserved communities.

In 2024 alone, BCWA taught nearly 13,000 people how to perform breast self-examinations and provided over 7,600 free clinical breast checks, identifying 338 suspicious findings for follow-up care. With survivor support groups like Thimble Thumbs, Pink Melody, and Pink Power, BCWA helps women connect, heal, and regain confidence. Their mission is to empower women through education, early detection, and holistic support, aiming for a society where every woman has access to knowledge and care for her health.

Silent Auction

This year, you have an opportunity to support WAO and BCWA through Tatler Ball 2025’s Silent Auction. We sincerely invite guests to join us and bid with open hearts, understanding that every contribution makes a meaningful difference for women in need. Your support offers a refuge for those escaping violence, compassionate guidance and counselling for survivors, and essential care and early detection for women confronting breast cancer.

By participating, you’re offering women the opportunity to reclaim their lives, find vital support, and approach the future with assurance while standing a chance to take home incredible experiences up for auction, including a luxurious 3D2N stay in Patina Maldives as well as luxurious stayover experiences in Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Bali, and more.

Together, we can turn a night of grace and joy into a meaningful occasion—one that empowers women throughout Malaysia and demonstrates that, as a community, we support them wholeheartedly.
