Life is all about balancing hard work with making time for fun. This week, our Gen.T honourees are inspiring us to go seek adventure

Representing Hong Kong

Hong Kong golfer and 2018 honouree Tiffany Chan competed in the inaugural Simone Asia Pacific Cup in Indonesia, which ran from August 18 to 20. She placed 13th on the first day after a one-over-par 73.

“I grew up playing for Hong Kong as a junior/amateur for Asia-Pacific event,” the 28-year-old wrote on her Instagram post, “and it is great to finally have a pro version to compete with the best of the world again!”

By Saturday, Filippino Princess Mary Superal had secured her first-ever international golf title after defeating tough opponents that included South Korean seasoned campaigner So Yeon Ryu and world No.4, New Zealander Lydia Ko at the Simone Asia Pacific Cup.

In on the action

As a documentary photographer, 2020 honouree Ezra Acayan bears witness to some incredible events, from political ceremonies to street dance competitions.

On Sunday, August 21, he captured some incredibly dynamic shots from the 2022 AVC Cup For Women at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, Philippines, where players from China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines battled it out.

Tickled pink

Malaysian former gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, who announced her official retirement from the sport earlier this year following an injury, showed up pretty in pink at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week, which ran from August 17 to 21.

From fishing boat to table?

Hong Kong chef Vicky Cheng of Michelin-starred restaurant VEA joined Canadian-Chinese actress Bernice Liu on a fishing trip last week.

“Island full of hidden gems! Discovering HK with our fisherman,” Cheng captioned his Instagram post.

Stunning comeback

Swimming sensation and 2018 Gen.T honouree Siobhán Haughey returned to competition at the Hong Kong Open Championships over the weekend after taking a hiatus to recover from a poolside injury. She also set a new city’s record while she was at it.
