Gen.T honouree Clarence Leong's logistics startup EasyParcel inked a partnership to connect its customers with e-fulfilment provider iStore iSend

Malaysia-based parcel delivery platform EasyParcel, co-founded by Clarence Leong, has partnered with e-fulfilment solutions and warehouse-as-a-service provider iStore iSend.

The memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies will see the former introduce the latter's services to its network of entrepreneurs. According to the agreement, iStore iSend will handle the transportation agreements, logistic management and the supply chain and storage for sellers.

Online selling has grown steadily in Malaysia over the years, resulting in the establishment of many micro and social merchants. These merchants sell their products over social media apps such as TikTok and Instagram.

Most small-time merchants manage their business themselves but require assistance handling inventory. Meanwhile, the lack of resources to fulfil a more significant number of online sales orders has prevented some from scaling up their businesses.

Leong says that even with an excellent fulfilment system, e-commerce was nothing without logistics. "This collaboration is crucial as the vast technical and technological offerings available at iStore iSend will allow Malaysian micro sellers to scale their businesses faster."
