What to expect at Tatler Front & Female’s first squash masterclass and fireside chat with Datuk Nicol David this weekend at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club

An insightful gathering that unites the boardroom to the squash court, Tatler’s latest Front & Female event puts the spotlight on a Malaysian sports icon, Datuk Nicol David, as she shares how she developed a world champion's mindset with an intimate group of ladies from various corporate backgrounds.

Presented in partnership with Sime Darby Property, The Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC), and Dr Chong Clinic, the morning will kick off at the VIP room of KLGCC on Saturday, November 25, with an insightful fireside chat with Nicol on how to translate a champion's mindset to the boardroom and tackle the diverse corporate landscape with the razor-sharp focus of a winning athlete.

Following this is an exclusive hour-long squash masterclass for the guests, led by Nicol herself, at the squash court of KLGCC. The retired World No. 1 squash champion will then come to the highlight of the afternoon—an exhilarating playoff with several influential corporate leaders in Malaysia to help raise funds for the Nicol David Foundation.

Attendees will witness Nicol’s extraordinary skills first-hand as she plays in the charity squash match with various prominent Malaysian CEOs on the squash court, raising RM10,000 for each game with her. An afternoon of sportsmanship, networking and giving back to charity, the event promises to be a most memorable way to end the month of November.

Founded by Columbian squash champion Mariana De Reyes and Datuk Nicol (who is also head coach), the Nicol David Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to empower girls and boys from underprivileged communities in Malaysia to realise their full potential through a combination of squash training and English tuition in a unique, subsidised after-school programme. Determined to uplift the next generation of athletes and foster squash talents in Malaysia, Nicol devotes her time and energy to training these budding athletes and giving them a leg-up in the world of sports.

Stay tuned to Front & Female for upcoming highlights from this exciting event and the top champion takeaways from Nicol David's first Front & Female fireside chat.
