In a remarkable show of solidarity, Malaysian creatives and brands are joining forces this October to raise the breast cancer awareness banner. Prominent names such as celebrated fashion designer Melinda Looi and innovative entrepreneur Zikry Kholil are among the individuals who have stepped up this month with unique campaigns in support of organisations like the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia and Cancer Research Malaysia. Their collaborative efforts underscore the significance of early detection and support for breast cancer patients.

Renowned Malaysian fashion designer Melinda Looi has pulled out all the stops with her vibrant Melpowering Pink breast cancer awareness campaign, joining forces with several influential Malaysian creatives and businesses for a noble cause.

Teaming up with nearly ten organisations and prominent personalities such as Nini Marini, sibling influencer duo Jestinna Kuan and Christinna Kuan, calligraphy artist Jace Neo, Nathalie Gourmet Studio’s Chef Nathalie and others in a month-long series of exciting charity workshops and events to raise funds for Cancer Research Malaysia.

Held at Eslite Spectrum, the charity workshops will feature sharing sessions by breast cancer survivors and caregivers and sessions by artists and renowned figures, happening this Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8, from 10.30am to 7.30pm. Looi has also partnered with the Kuan sisters to offer a range of breast cancer awareness merchandise on her website, including tote bags, T-shirts, twilly scarves, and brooches.

Even local and international businesses have enthusiastically supported the Melpowering Pink campaign. Exciting brands like Love18 Chocolates, Bloop, Relax, Tea Bird Tea, Satay Sumo, and Candle Pit Stop have collectively introduced various pink-themed products in solidarity with the cause. These delightful offerings will be accessible for purchase at the Melinda Looi Concept Store in Eslite Starhill, and a portion of the proceeds from these sales will be channelled towards the vital work of Cancer Research Malaysia.
