The founder of early-stage venture-capital fund S28 Capital, Kent Ho has invested in more than 70 pioneering companies. With a portfolio that includes digital health, genomics, retail, hospitality, fintech and construction, the company has backed successful companies including Palantir, JD.com, Coupang and Zoom.

Previously the managing partner of Harbor Pacific Capital and a banker for Goldman Sachs, Ho spent a decade in Silicon Valley before settling in Hong Kong in 2012. He sits on the board of Grace Vineyard and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation; he is also a member of the innovation and technology advisory committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Ho was named a 2018 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

The son of Charles Ho, chairman of Hong Kong media company Sing Tao News Corporation, Kent is married to Emily Lam-Ho; the couple, who are regulars on Tatler’s society pages, have two children.
