Henry Liao

Henry Liao, chairman of the Breeze Group, has been responsible for the development of the Breeze chain of malls since he was 22, making a profit in his first year in office. The Breeze chain of malls, whose first centre opened in 2001, provided a breath of fresh air to the shopping scene, with trend-setting female-oriented stores and a strong focus on restaurants. In addition to commercial and retail stores, he also has ventures in catering, boutiques and entertainment.

The group notably transformed the old Taipei Main station into a Breeze gourmet food hall. Liao led the development of Breeze’s own brands and launched Breeze Night, a celebrity-studded annual fashion event. Breeze currently has more than 15 brands, with the goal of offering a complete and exquisite lifestyle experience. Existing locations include Breeze Square, Breeze Taipei Station, Breeze Taihang University Hospital, Breeze Sanzong Shopping Street, Breeze Central Research Institute, Breeze A1 Airport Subway Store, Breeze Nanjing, Breeze Songgao, Breeze Xinyi and Breeze Nanshan.

Despite the pandemic, Breeze continues its steady growth, with each Breeze location growing by about 50 per cent.
