A prominent Malaysian businesswoman and investor, Chryseis Tan leads Berjaya Times Square and the Curate Group, spanning hospitality and beauty brands like Lumi Beauty
Chryseis Tan is a serial investor, entrepreneur and a popular influencer with interests in the hospitality, food and beverage, technology, and beauty industries. She was named executive director of Berjaya Corp Berhad in 2023, when her father, famed tycoon and company founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan, handed off leadership to an all-female board.
Outside of Berjaya, Chryseis Tan founded and helms the Curate Group, which is behind a number of dynamic Japanese dining concepts including Sushi Ryu, Park Grill and Bar Shake. Her thriving skincare brand, LUMI Beauty, was a project she threw herself into while grounded during the pandemic and pregnant with her first child. Today, it has grown into a regionally sought-after beauty brand, with products she self-tested like Vitamin Glow Super Serum and Rose Brightening Moisture Mask. The brand’s latest Peony series, launched in 2024, marks the debut of its inaugural range crafted in Japan.
Tan is also known for her diverse investment portfolio, which includes the juice café chain La Juiceria, and online fashion and beauty marketplace Goxip. Famed for her fashionable, jet-set lifestyle, Tan is followed by nearly half a million followers on Instagram, where her photos now also feature her daughter Arianna and her son Arman, with husband, Naza Group scion SM Faliq Nasimuddin.
