The Kings City Club
The Kings City Club is a place to work, unwind and connect, fostering holistic growth and wellness
It’s easy to be caught up in one’s career. On the one hand, it is a source of fulfillment, purpose, pride and financial freedom. On the other, it can cause addiction. Thus, one ought to know when to get off the daily grind and tend to the other aspects of life in a more relaxing environment. One option where one can do this is at The Kings City Club, a social space that enables a unique blend of work, recreation and wellness, recognising the importance of meaningful connections and a holistic lifestyle.

The Kings City Club was founded for professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives and freelancers to congregate, collaborate and belong. “For many Filipinos, health and wellness are becoming increasingly important,” Executive Director Camille Navarro Makasiar explains. “They are often viewed through the lens of productivity and responsibility. People want to take care of themselves, yet many still struggle to find the time and space to do so amidst work, family obligations and daily demands.”
A change of pace can sometimes be refreshing, energising and motivating. The Kings City Club provides working spaces, function halls and more, all within a calming ambience of charming light palettes, touches of greenery and gently lit areas. “We believe that the environment plays a significant role in well-being,” Makasiar affirms. It is equally designed as a place for you to write a report or to quietly enjoy a cup of coffee. However, there’s more to it than communal tables and conference rooms.

“We also intentionally curate experiences that support overall well-being,” Makasiar enthuses. “Through yoga sessions, journalling gatherings, coffee community events and creative workshops, we encourage individuals to step away from the pressures of everyday life and engage in activities that promote mindfulness and self-expression.” These activities include pottery with Manille Céramique, providing an opportunity to slow down and create. For those with a penchant for cooking, they also have collaborations with the Home Culinary and Technical School and The Social Manila Bakehouse.
“These activities are not simply hobbies,” Makasiar emphasises. “They become opportunities for people to reconnect with themselves, discover new passions and build genuine connections with others in the community.”

There is something uplifting about being around people who share our passions and mindset. The Kings City Club encourages us to get in touch with our inner selves and to relearn the importance of building social bridges. Focusing on work is important, yes. Crucial, even. But as the saying goes, no man is an island. “By continuously investing in people, experiences and meaningful engagement”, Makasiar declares, “we strive to remain a space where individuals feel inspired to create, connect and thrive.”
