Neal’s Yard Remedies exemplifies the best of honouring our connection to the natural world while indulging in self-care with its English lavender and calendula hand care collection, a collaboration with Morris & Co
In a world filled with choices, the eco-conscious consumer might still find themselves with fewer choices. However, with the increased emphasis on environmental consciousness in the mainstream, more companies have adopted a more particular approach to sustainability. Neal’s Yard Remedies is one of them.
First established in 1981, Neal’s Yard Remedies has been accredited as an ethical brand since 2014 by the Good Shopping Guide. It is the first UK high street retailer to be certified carbon neutral, having offset all carbon emissions since 2008. Ninety two per cent of materials used in its products are certified organic, which is more eco-friendly. All organic products are certified with the Soil Association, an internationally recognised body overseeing certification of organic food and beauty products.
To circularise its production process, Neal’s Yard Remedies has switched most of its plastic bottles to ones made from 100 per cent post-consumer recycled plastic. The brand’s exceptional standards extends to its packaging, which uses Carbon Balanced Paper from World Land Trust.

The brand’s leadership and focus on sustainability align with the theme of Singapore’s Tatler Homes Design Awards 2024. The theme, Green by Design, underscores the importance of sustainability in the architecture and spatial design industry as the world grapples with climate change.
Tatler Homes Design Awards 2024 - Singapore’s gala guests received a gift set that includes Neal’s Yard Remedies x Morris & Co English Lavender & Calendula hand care collection. This collection comprises a trio of products: hand wash, hand lotion, and hand cream, which are all certified organic, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly.
William Morris, the late renowned English textile designer and environmentalist, has his artistic legacy preserved by Morris & Co, where his works distill the quintessential beauty of British nature into home designs. His designs are a tribute to the unique charm of English flora. The packaging of Neal's Yard Remedies hand care collection showcases Morris's Blackthorn print, adorned with gold detailing, celebrating the nurturing qualities of herbs and wildflowers found in the meadows of England.
Sharing this with Singapore’s distinguished design industry insiders was akin to sharing a vision.

The organic English lavender and calendula infuse the products with a lightly floral yet earthy botanical fragrance.
This series is also the brand's inaugural fully vegan hand care collection, which uses carnauba wax in replacement of beeswax, a vegan-friendly alternative that ensures deeper and longer-lasting moisture.
Each hand wash bottle contains 36 drops of organic English lavender essential oil, infusing every handwashing experience with calmness and gentleness. The hand lotion infuses soothing aloe vera into a lightweight formula that can be easily absorbed, leaving the hands gently fragranced. The hand cream is formulated to be deeply hydrating, with Brazil nut oil which goes beyond skin-deep to encourage healthier skin, without greasiness.
