Burnout, stress, and exhaustion are not easy to deal with. When all else fails, pack your bags and head up north. Here’s what MDP Village has to offer

At a time when much attention is given to mental health, it is only fitting that we prioritise our well-being and do more to promote a positive mindset and emotional satisfaction. Nestled in Ilocos Sur, one can find “enlightenment and serenity” at the Master Del Pe (MDP) Village, the world headquarters of the Wisdom Institute for Leadership and Global Advancement (WILGA), the World Institute for Incurable Diseases (WIID), and BElife Institute for Higher Consciousness (BIHC), provides spiritual training, certification programs for balanced life strategists and energy healing professionals.

“The focus of MDP Village is healing,” WILGA Director Lesley Geronimo says in an interview with Tatler. She adds that the place offers self-mastery programs and retreats, such as Enlightened Life Retreat, Third Eye Initiation Retreat, Healing and Longevity Retreat, and Wisdom Leadership Retreat.

“When guests visit the MDP Village, they will have many experiences. They learn martial arts such as yoga, breathing techniques, meditations, practical self-defence, survival skills training, and self-mastery workshops. They also experience healing sessions, mentoring, special massage from a gifted masseuse, and therapeutic hot spring baths to rejuvenate faster. There are also nature trips, outdoor activities, and entertainment. All these experiences combined bring positive changes and breakthroughs in their life,” says Geronimo.

Its founder, Master Del Pe, is a world-renowned expert in energy healing, esoteric science, spiritual technology, yoga, and wisdom leadership. Having travelled to over 100 countries and taught 400,000 clients globally, his extensive experience has inspired him to write 12 books on self-development and self-mastery. Additionally, he has founded three institutes: WILGA, WIID, and BIHC.

WILGA offers a plethora of consulting and mentoring services to address the needs of business leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, organisations, and corporations. In WILGA, the programs seek wisdom for people in leadership roles.” Our curriculum has been empowering leaders and transforming organisations across 35 countries. With the unpredictability of the global economy and the complexity of organisational dynamics, leaders need immediate paradigm shifts and practical tools and techniques to always stay on top of their game,” explains Geronimo.

The WIID, on the other hand, provides programs that help improve or regain the quality of life of people with life-threatening, incurable, or psycho-spiritual syndromes. This program boasts a pool of certified experts from around the world who specialise in 57 areas, including auto-immune diseases, cancer, diabetes, depression, drug addiction, karma neutralisation, musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal issues, and Parkinson’s, to name a few.

BIHC, for its part, offers a spate of courses that provide new strategies to promote a more fulfilling lifestyle. “Our students learn to boost their vitality, heal their emotions, sharpen their minds, and awaken the power of their souls,” Geronimo shares. “Programs range from simple to advanced meditation, BEwell Science energy healing techniques, life tools for a more balanced life, third eye development, will-power boosters, universal philosophies, and much more. These programs combine the convenience of distance learning and mentoring by an international team of certified professional specialists personally trained by Master Del Pe.”

Geronimo and the team of experts in MDP encourage the following to join the training sessions in WILGA, WIID, and BIHC, respectively:

  • WILGA is for leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals seeking a higher leadership path. These people have achieved a certain level of success in life and want more fulfilment and balance.

  • WIID is for individuals who suffer from chronic ailments, serious health concerns, or those who have tried many treatments that did not resolve their issues. People who want to become medically intuitive or move into energy medicine can enrol in this program.

  • BIHC is for people who want to experience spiritual workshops. So far, the students in this program range from ages five to 80.

According to Geronimo, people who suffer from anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders cannot rely on medicine alone. In MDP, some activities can aid in holistic healing. “When we are not emotionally well, our thoughts get affected too,” she says. “We need to nurture and improve our emotional health [through] breathing techniques and meditations that can calm our emotions and silence the mind.”

“In MDP Village, sleeping disorders, stress, fatigue, and burnout are issues common to the guests due to high demands in their respective workplaces. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, cases of depression and anxiety have drastically increased. The 57 specialisations under WIID can alleviate these conditions,” Geronimo discloses.

Experts at the MDP Village believe that from time to time,  people need to indulge themselves in relaxing activities that promote camaraderie. “Part of self-care is joining activities that relax us,” Geronimo expresses. “When we can integrate this with other people, we learn to nurture relationships at home, with friends, or in the workplace. We feel better emotionally and mentally when we learn to have better relationships.”

Those lucky enough to experience MDP Village's life-changing services say it is a hidden paradise, a modern Asian Shangri-la in the mountains of Ilocos Sur. “It is a pristine environment free from noise,” Geronimo describes.

Because of its location and its services, Geronimo assures that clients will have the time of their lives thanks to the amenities the village provides. “Our visitors enjoy healing sessions, meditations, psychic massage, and outdoor activities such as mini golf, bonfire chats, trekking, river walks, waterfalls and lagoon baths,” she says.

“Aside from the rejuvenating environment, it’s really about our services and the unparalleled curriculum of our training and healing programs. Many international students also come to the MDP Village for certification programs to become trainers or specialists. We also have experts, intuitive mentors, and healers who have come together from around the world,” she concludes.
