Make your health a priority this Pink October and check out these offers on mammograms, ultrasounds, and more at these Klang Valley medical centres and hospitals

According to Cancer Research Malaysia, around one in every four Malaysians are affected by cancer. More than 8,400 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women each year in Malaysia, with men also affected by the disease on a smaller scale. As Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins, hospitals across the Klang Valley are rolling out special Pink October promotions, making it easier and more affordable for women to prioritise their breast health.

Mammograms are recommended for women aged 40 and above. Beacon Hospital Kuala Lumpur recommends getting regular breast checkups if 1) You have a family history of cancer, 2) You notice changes in the appearance of your breasts, and 3) You are above the age of 40 years old.

Although this limited-time offer is no longer available, a standard mammogram test at Beacon Hospital is RM299, while a breast ultrasound is RM199.

National Cancer Society Malaysia

A trailblazing force in extensive cancer support in the nation, The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) has a history of helping families impacted by cancer to have access to necessary healthcare and support. This month, NCSM is offering free mammograms for women aged 40 and above at various clinics. 

Register by scanning the QR code in the Instagram post pictured above and pay a registration fee of RM10 to book your mammogram appointment. For a top-up of RM100, you can also undergo a breast ultrasound.

Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara

Thomson Hospital is also dedicated to making breast cancer screenings more accessible to women during Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
