The breathtaking island of Palawan has been recognised time and again to be a quintessential travel destination in the Philippines. Go deeper, and you’ll find a colourful bed of coral reefs and a biodiverse world. As you dive beneath the surface, you’ll quickly be accompanied by schools of fish and an arresting show thought only to be seen in the movies.
Over the years, Palawan has consistently been deemed as a must-visit destination. In 2022, it was hailed as one of the Most Desirable Islands in the 21st Wanderlust Travel Awards. Most recently, it ranked 13th among 25 other islands on Travel + Leisure’s 2024 World’s Best Islands list, ranking fifth for the Best Island in Asia. Looking ahead, Palawan has been shortlisted for the World’s Best Awards in 2025, along with other Philippine destinations such as Boracay in Aklan, Mactan in Cebu, and Panglao in Bohol.
