After four years, Hong Kong’s long-awaited Water World Ocean Park is finally opening today, September 21

Ocean Park is finally opening the highly-anticipated Water World Ocean Park on September 21 after four years of construction.

Divided into five zones, each one is led by guides and filled with its own unique spirit of fun and adventure. Within the five zones, Water World boasts 27 outdoor and indoor attractions including Hong Kong’s first-ever surf rider, nine dynamic water slides and several areas specially designed for small kids to have fun in. The adventure starts at Splendid Reef, an expansive open area right on the shores of the South China Sea.

Daredevils can enjoy the wild twists and turns of the thrilling slides at Torrential River while those who love challenges can opt for the Thrill Valley and its mind-blowing extreme slides and freefall experiences. Meanwhile, if you prefer to enjoy the sun, Adventure Coast is a cosy choice to take in the sea breeze and indulge in some refreshing bites.

The Hidden Village is open for all ages and will include the city’s first-ever all-weather indoor wave pool. Over at Horizon Cove, you can enjoy day and night entertainment such as concerts and events on the performance stage.

With the tagline of “Splash into Adventure”, Water World invites everyone to go on an adventure of discovery and immerse themselves in a mystical, hidden world at one with the wonders of water and nature.

The park’s logo encapsulates the water park’s topography and location as well as its surreal, thrilling experiences in a stylised design of the sea, mountains, and a bright smiling sun.
