After skipping Halloween celebrations due to Covid-19 last year, Ocean Park will be bringing back festivities to mark its 20th anniversary of Halloween celebrations. Instead of their usual hair-raising haunted houses events, however, the theme park will be embracing the ‘New Normal’ of Covid-19 induced life, making it the theme of this year’s Halloween activities.
Taking a more socially distanced approach to this year’s festivities, guests can sign up for interactive activities such as Survivor of the Undead—an escape room-like game where you’ll be helping a mad scientist search for a cure to save humankind from mutation; the Forbidden Rainforest Treasure Hunt, where guests will be tasked to protect a treasure map from cannibals. Still looking for a thrill? The Supernatural Ghost Tour is designed for those who want an extra scare. Set at The Abyss roller coaster ride, you’ll be told a story about a group of lost souls who disappeared after visiting a haunted control room.
Aside from interactive activities, Ocean Park will also be adding haunting details in other parts of the park including a 5 metre Jack O’Lantern display, a display of old Hong Kong murder mystery tales across Old Hong Kong street, a Halloween-themed light show, photo opportunities with Wedding of the Undead horror characters, and a 20 Years of Horror exhibition where visitors can find the Halloween costumes of previous Ocean Park horror actors who brought the festival to life.
