Travel platform Agoda has unveiled the top beaches in Asia based on accommodation searches made on the platform in September and October
What immediately springs to mind when you think of the best beaches in Asia? No doubt iconic destinations such Bali, Langkawi, Da Nang and others will inevitable come up among the most popular places to plan that long overdue beach vacation.
As International Beach Day approaches on September 1, digital travel platform Agoda has unveiled the top beach destinations in Asia based on accommodation searches made for September and October.
Unsurprisingly, Indonesia’s Bali tops the list, continually charming beach lovers with its tropical allure. According to Agoda, Bali has seen an 11 per cent increase in accommodation searches compared to the same period last year, solidifying its place as the ultimate beach getaway.

Following Bali’s lead, Okinawa in Japan and Da Nang in Vietnam complete the top three most sought-after beach destinations. Okinawa’s stunning coastline and cultural richness make it a favourite, while Da Nang’s beautiful beaches and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites like Hoi An offer a mix of relaxation and exploration.
The diversity of Asia’s coastline is well represented in Agoda’s rankings, which showcase beach destinations that cater to a wide range of preferences. Thailand stands out with two entries—Pattaya and Phuket—both famous for their lively beach scenes and vibrant nightlife. Similarly, Vietnam’s Nha Trang joins Da Nang in the top ten, known for its beautiful beaches and bustling coastal atmosphere.
