Easter is a time of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing celebrated worldwide in various ways. From solemn religious observances to lively family gatherings, this holiday holds special significance for many.

During the recent Easter break, our Tatler friends seized the opportunity to bask in the holiday’s true spirit while embracing the summer’s vibrant energy amidst the tropical heat. Some blended cherished traditions with contemporary celebrations, creating unforgettable moments with their loved ones.

Take a peak into how some of our beloved friends marked the occasion, offering glimpses into their unique Easter traditions, heartfelt moments, and joyful festivities.

1. Sofia Andres

Sofia Andres fused a touch of Filipino tradition into her Easter celebration with her adorable daughter, Zoe. In a delightful twist, she opted for a classic game beloved by Filipino kids—the pabitin.

With laughter and excitement filling the air, Zoe was seen playing with her friends, eagerly waiting for their turn to grab the hanging Easter candies and favourite Filipino snacks! The playful Easter celebration serves as a reminder of the beauty of blending different cultures.

2. Bianca Gonzalez

Bianca Gonzalez enjoyed a delightful Easter celebration with her husband, JC Intal, and their two lovely daughters, Carmen and Lucia. They basked in the sun’s warmth by the pool, revelling in each other’s company and enjoying a cosy bonfire.

Amidst the festivities, Gonzalez shared a moving message with her followers, urging them to “Turn fear into faith”, drawing inspiration from the profound teachings of Easter.

3. Alice Eduardo

Alice Eduardo and Jojie Dingcong participated in the annual Salubong, one of the most anticipated events during Holy Week and a poignant moment in Christian tradition.

The Salubong, which translates to “meeting”, depicts a dramatic reenactment of the encounter between the Risen Christ and His mother, the Virgin Mary.

4. Kryz Uy

Kryz Uy made sure that her son Sevi enjoyed the Easter celebrations, with traditional bunny ears and an exciting, colourful egg hunt, before he turns two this May!

Uy also showcased her radiant pregnancy glow as she flaunted various beach outfits. As of this writing, she is 26 weeks pregnant with her third son with her husband, Slater Young.

5. Vicki Belo

Vicki Belo embraced the Easter festivities by hosting a playful Easter egg hunt and celebrating her granddaughter’s birthday, Siena Victoria Pitt.

As a renowned dermatologist, she shared her Easter greetings and gently reminded people to apply sunscreen for outdoor activities.

6. Kevin Tan

Kevin and Michelle Tan, along with their children, took advantage of the extended weekend to travel to Bangkok, Thailand. Their destination? The renowned Wattana Panich, a Michelin-rated gem known for its legendary beef broth.

The hole-in-the-wall restaurant boasts a broth that has been simmering for an impressive 50 years. Tan enthusiastically said the experience left a lasting impression, describing the broth as one of the best he has ever tasted.

7. Iza Calzado

Iza Calzado took the last day of the Holy Week to reflect on the significance of Easter as a time of joy and hope, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness.

She shared a photo from 2022 holding a cross with the biblical verse John 3:16, recalling a period of uncertainty. A few months later, she discovered she was pregnant. Calzado expressed gratitude for loving a healthy child she had at 40 years old and seeing it as a tangible manifestation of God’s immense love.

8. Isabelle Daza

Isabelle Daza shared glimpses of her Easter weekend, describing it as “such a blessing” as she embraced the joy and togetherness of her family in a picturesque countryside setting.

Daza spent the long holiday break in Australia with her family, where they enjoyed unique Easter festivities, including wearing cowboy hats, surrounded by large bales of hay and frolicking sheep.
