Two years since embarking on its massive ‘once-in-a-generation transformation’ project, Sunway Resort has been progressively unveiling the reimagined spaces in phases after its dramatic makeover.
Kicking off with a big reveal in June, the hotel opened the doors to its highly anticipated restaurant—Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill. Crowned as the highlight of Sunway Resort’s transformation, the world-class restaurant is Gordon Ramsay’s first restaurant outside of the UK, where he has outlets in London’s Mayfair, Chelsea and Park Walk.

BESPOKE ROOMS AND SUITES
In August, Sunway Resort unveiled eight out of 12 bespoke rooms and suites of varying themes, amenities and dimensions. The themed rooms, specially designed and fitted with specific amenities, are also paired with complementary privileges to the hotel’s leisure facilities to meet the unique needs of the different types of traveller.

With the entire hotel outfitted with the latest technological solutions, the guest experience will be enhanced by cutting-edge technology including contactless check-in and keyless room entry with the Sunway Hotels & Resorts app. Every room and suite also has motion sensor night light that help guests navigate the room in the dark. By requests to specialist ‘iButlers’, guests can ask for help setting up devices and for gadgets like Harman Kardon headphones and sound bar.
THE NEXT PHASES
What to expect in the subsequent unveiling? More themed suites, dedicated family spaces such as The Premium Leisure Lounge and children play areas called Wonderland Explorers and Waterventure.
There are also exciting new dining destinations including award-winning, New York-based restaurant Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes offering the great American luncheonette experience with its classic craft burgers and world-famous CrazyShake milkshakes.
Last but not least is the 20th Club Executive Lounge which will extend exclusive privileges to business and suite category guests such as priority check-in, and spaces to conduct private meets and unwind over evening cocktails.
