Hotels around the region have begun gearing up for the summer season with the introduction of new packages. For one, The Hari Hong Kong has introduced its new Live Like a Local summer package, immersing guests into the local culture while families can enjoy Hyatt Regency Hong Kong’s Family Summer Getaway.
Apart from new summer experiences, major hotel groups have also announced the openings of new properties this week. AC Hotels by Marriott has unveiled its second property in the heart of South Korea’s Gunpo city. Capella Hotels and Resorts has also announced its latest property Capella Kenting to be opened in Taiwan in 2028.

Capella Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of its first resort in Taiwan in 2028. Located along the western coastline of Taiwan’s Hengchun Peninsula in Pingtung, Capella Kenting will be inspired by Pingtung’s indigenous architecture and the rich natural environment of Hengchun Peninsula. The property will also offer the largest rooms in Taiwan, spanning 197 sqm with each villa equipped with a private pool, hot spring facilities and picturesque sea views. Apart from luxurious rooms, anticipate gastronomic experiences that put the spotlight on locally harvested ingredients and the Capella Wellness program that will blend traditional southern Taiwanese wellness practices with Capella’s signature luna phase-specific therapies.

Each room is decked in warm wood-tone interiors with large windows that overlook the city.
