This week, we see hotels around Asia announcing their reopening. Amanpuri for one, has reopened after three months of extensive renovations to its signature pavilions, restaurants and more. Closer to home, Amara Singapore has completed its 11-month-long transformation and has also introduced new experiences.
If you find yourself in Bangkok, book a stay at the new Hotel Muse Bangkok located in the heart of the capital city. But, if you’ve booked a winter holiday to Nara, Japan, stay at Novotel Nara, the latest property along the city’s Saho River.

This iconic hotel has announced the culmination of its extensive transformational journey, unveiling its revitalised spaces and new guest experiences. The comprehensive makeover by Studio HBA saw the redesign of its guest rooms, public spaces, dining establishments and more. The latest makeover elevates the guest experience, blending modern aesthetics with traditional warmth. Apart from a physical makeover, the property has also introduced new Singapore Heritage Experiences featuring walking tours, popiah making sessions and more.

Amanpuri

Following a three-month closure, Aman’s first resort reopens. The extensive renovation sees the iconic flagship resort having meticulous reconfigurations to its pavilions, spotlighting its Thai design heritage. Its pavilions are now complete with Makha wood flooring, vaulted ceilings, refreshed balconies and more. the resort has also introduced new dining options while retaining its signature restaurants including Nama, which is now situated atop the resort’s sweeping staircase. Various wellness and fitness-related experiences have also been introduced, including private surfing experiences and cycling sessions.
Novotel Nara

Situated along Nara’s Saho River is the newly opened Novotel Nara. Designed to offer guests a serene environment and connect with the city’s rich cultural and historical legacy, the hotel provides guests with a welcoming retreat after a day of exploring.
While here, check out its rooftop terrace that offers breathtaking views of Saho River—visit in spring and find the river lined with pink cherry blossoms or visit in winter for views of the Wakakusa Yamayaki festival.
