From infinity pools to private massage rooms, make your next Hong Kong getaway the sexiest ever at one of these luxury hotel suites
“People make love in hotels more than anywhere else,” New York-based interior designer, Clodagh, told Tatler once upon a time. It certainly makes sense—a rendezvous at a hotel offers total privacy and the excitement of a new environment, opening couples up to more possibilities for romance.
In this story, we explore some of the most seductive and luxurious hotel suites in Hong Kong. From a standalone villa with a private couples' massage room, to a presidential suite with an infinity pool with sweeping skyline views.
1. Asaya Lodges at Rosewood Hong Kong
Three words: private massage room.
Rosewood Hong Kong’s ultra-exclusive Asaya Lodges are the first and only of their kind in the city, serving as private sanctuaries for wellness enthusiasts. These standalone villas—of which there are only two—feature a plush suite with mirrored walls and king-sized bed.
The bathroom is exquisite, with a deep soaking tub and an absurdly oversized shower which doubles as a steam room at the push of a button. Finally, behind a large stone door that cheekily blends into the bathroom wall, is a private couples’ treatment room with a his and hers vanity, two cloud-like massage tables and a sitting area for pre- and post-treatment relaxation. The treatment room also features a separate entrance for spa therapists—a thoughtful extra that ensures absolute privacy within the rest of the lodge.
2. The Shangri-La Suite at Island Shangri-La
An oversized marble bathtub, a two-person shower, a seductive chaise lounge positioned by the window, a private fully-equipped bar and luxurious textiles found throughout the suite—if there was ever a room made for romance, it’s the Shangri-La Suite at Island Shangri-La.
There’s also a full kitchen should you decide to hire a private chef for the evening—because why eat in a restaurant full of strangers when you can enjoy a private dinner for two in the Shangri-La Suite’s private dining room, with panoramic windows overlooking the city? We highly recommend the latter.
3. The Andre Fu Suite at The Upper House
This 1,960 square feet suite pays homage to the long-lasting relationship between Fu and The Upper House, enhancing his original design to create a sleek, modern residence. The colours are a calming palette of mineral blue, dusky mink and pale ivory which sets the suite apart from other rooms at the hotel. It also features a dedicated spa area with twin massage beds.
Fu’s clever use of light and shadows create an aliveness in the rooms, as lit-up skyscrapers bounce off of the angled windows to bring the electric pulse of the city outside, in. Particularly at night, it’s a cinematic experience worthy of Wong Kar-Wai films; very romantic.
4. The Peninsula Suite at The Peninsula Hong Kong

Guests are welcomed into The Peninsula Suite by an impressive double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private landscaped terrace, with unparalleled views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline.
It also features a personal gym featuring state-of-the-art equipment by Life Fitness; and a master bedroom with an ensuite, complete with a bathtub that looks out over stunning views of the city. For movie-loving couples, a dedicated screening room offers a private cinema experience with a wall-to-wall screen television, Klipsch surround-sound speakers and cosy reclining seats.
5. The Presidential Suite at Regent Hong Kong
Celebrated globally as one of the world’s most spectacular hotel suites, The Presidential Suite at Regent Hong Kong is a rooftop penthouse featuring 7,000 square feet of opulence, including a private rooftop terrace, complete with an infinity swimming pool designed to appear as though it cascades into Victoria Harbour.
Inside, it boasts two-story, floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of the city, and a separate living and dining area. The master bedroom features a luxurious en-suite Oasis bathroom that give five-star spas a run for their money—it has private sauna and steam rooms, a private gym and a tea room.
6. Harbour King Suite at The Mondrian Hong Kong
The hotel’s most spacious offering, Mondrian Hong Kong’s Harbour King Suite feature a separate living room built for entertaining, complete with a seductive curved, maroon velvet lounge, floor-to-ceiling windows and a minibar fashioned from a Chinese lacquer cabinet. The vibe is very mid-century modern-meets-chinoiserie, and we are here for it.
In the bedroom, pops of primary colours to set the tone, complemented by subtle nods to Hong Kong’s heritage: lamp shades inspired by junk boat sails, a series of ceramic plate artwork by Lau Chao Tao, and artsy bathroom lighting that resembles stitches—a tribute to the generations of tailors who’ve set up shop in Tsim Sha Tsui.
