Operational from 3pm tomorrow, the new line will also make a stop at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Tun Razak Exchange
The wait is over. Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) announced that the Putrajaya line from Kwasa Damansara to Putrajaya Sentral will be operational from 3pm on March 16, 2023, providing a cheaper alternative commute to KLIA.
This is an extension of the first phase from Kwasa Damansara to Kampung Batu, which has been running since June 16, 2022. The complete MRT Putrajaya line spans a distance of 57.7km consisting of 36 stations, including Kepong Baru, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Persiaran KLCC, Tun Razak Exchange, Sungai Besi, UPM, and Cyberjaya.

There will be 10 interchange (which allows you to connect directly to the alternative line) and connecting (you will have to tap out to take the train on the next line) stations. Interchange stations include Kwasa Damansara (MRT Kajang), Titiwangsa (monorail and LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling), Tun Razak Exchange (MRT Kajang), Chan Sow Lin (LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling), and Sungai Besi (LRT Sri Petaling).

The new service also provides a cost-saving alternative to reach KLIA and klia2. Alight at Putrajaya Sentral, which is a connecting station, and take the ERL Express—KLIA is only two stops away from here.
