As Singapore’s premier hospitality brand celebrates its milestone pearl anniversary, it invites guests to rediscover travel the Millennium Way through bespoke stays, culinary journeys, and curated perks
What makes a hotel stay unforgettable?
Is it the state-of-the-art facilities that cater to your every need or a quiet luxury that stays with you long after checkout? Or perhaps it is the warmth of personalised service—the kind that makes you feel instantly at home, no matter how far you’ve travelled?
For 30 years, Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has expertly melded all these elements—and more—into stays that are as
memorable as they are meaningful. From its humble beginnings with a single property to becoming Singapore’s premier hospitality brand, MHR has since redefined luxury and hospitality with a global footprint spanning more than 145 hotels across 80 destinations.
Its story dates back to 1995 when Millennium Hotels and Resorts was born out of a vision to redefine global hospitality through thoughtfully curated experiences and world-class service. Since then, the brand has grown into a dynamic global portfolio, spanning distinct collections that cater to every kind of traveller. From the contemporary luxury of The Biltmore and the refined elegance of Leng’s Collection, to the timeless comfort of Copthorne and Kingsgate, and the vibrant lifestyle offerings of M Social, Studio M, and M Hotel, each brand under the MHR umbrella reflects a unique personality—yet all are united by a shared commitment to hospitality with heart.

A brand built on values that matter
This year, the brand celebrates a remarkable milestone: three decades of crafting exceptional stay experiences, championing innovation, and staying rooted in its homegrown heritage.
But what makes MHR stand apart is not just the premium linens or postcard-worthy views from its hotel rooms. It is their unwavering commitment to hospitality with heart. Rooted in five pillars—F&B innovation, sustainability, digital innovation, personalised guest experiences, and wellness offerings–the brand’s philosophy is anchored in enhancing life for both guests and communities.
On the sustainability front, MHR has made tangible strides, such as phasing out single-use plastics, initiating global tree-planting efforts and wildlife conservation projects. Six properties in Singapore have achieved Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) certification, while all 18 UK hotels boast Green Tourism accreditation.
The focus on wellbeing is more than a trend; it reflects a seismic shift in the way people travel. According to the Global Wellness Institute, wellness tourism is projected to soar to $1.3 trillion this year. Be it spa treatments, yoga retreats, fitness resorts or ‘dopamine dining’, it’s safe to say that the demand for travel experiences that prioritise physical, mental, and emotional health has never been higher. MHR is at the forefront of this movement, curating wellness journeys that cater to both mind and body. Wellness-minded travellers and discerning jet-setters will certainly appreciate the brand’s holistic approach to wellbeing. Properties such as M Social Phuket and The Chelsea Harbour Hotel & Spa offer state-of-the-art facilities and treatments to ensure every guest finds their moment of tranquillity wherever they stay.
Embracing the future of hospitality, MHR has also ventured into the digital frontier with M Social Decentraland, a first-of-its-kind virtual hotel experience launched in 2022. This immersive space merges hospitality with Web3 technology, allowing guests to interact with avatars, explore a digital hotel environment, and even win real-world rewards—all from the comfort of their own device. This pioneering spirit also extends to MyMillennium, the brand’s award-winning loyalty programme. Relaunched last year with a host of enhanced benefits, the platform uses data-driven insights to deliver hyper-personalised offers tailored to each guest’s preferences and habits—think exclusive member rates, bonus points and curated perks that turn every stay into an experience that feels custom-made.

The Millennium Way
As MHR marks its 30th anniversary, the brand is not just looking back but also reintroducing its diverse family of hotel brands through a campaign that’s rooted in experience. Aptly called The Millennium Way, it is an invitation for every member to embark on a Bespoke Guest Journey shaped by elevated service, thoughtful perks, and personalised luxury.
Running until 31 March 2026, the campaign offers up to 20 percent discount of room rates across participating properties worldwide, as well as perks such as complimentary breakfast, late check‑out options, and welcome drinks. But the true allure lies in the MyMillennium: a global loyalty programme that rewards members not only for their bookings, but for how they travel. Guests who book a minimum three-night stay at the exclusive rate will receive 3,000 bonus MyPoints (valued at US$15), while those who accumulate nine nights will receive 30,000 bonus MyPoints, which are redeemable for future stays, dining, and more.

A Culinary Odyssey
No great hotel stay is complete without a memorable meal. Recognising this, MHR unveils A Culinary Odyssey, an exclusive dining campaign that invites one to dive into a world of Michelin‑worthy flavours across its properties in Singapore and the UK. From sultry Indian flavours at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore’s Sansara to refined Singaporean fare at The Bugis Restaurant in The Bailey’s Hotel London, MHR’s dining destinations offer a chance to savour the art of hospitality itself—and rewards you for the epicurean exploration. Guests who dine at the participating restaurants can earn 3,000 MyPoints with a minimum spend of US$90.
As MHR steps confidently into its next chapter, celebrating its next 30 years and beyond, one thing remains clear: unforgettable hotel stays aren’t just created—they’re curated, thoughtfully and intentionally, the Millennium Way.
