Hani Ezra Hussin, senior general manager of commercial services for Malaysia Airports, expressed enthusiasm for the campaign's return: “We are thrilled to bring back Licence to Win 2024 to provide a unique rewarding shopping experience for our shoppers and travellers. This initiative aligns with our Commercial Reset Strategy to elevate the shopping experience with the exciting retail offerings at Malaysia Airports.”

She explained Malaysia Airports’ efforts to significantly expand retail offerings since 2019, aiming to create a more enticing shopping and dining experience for visitors. “By introducing a diverse range of new outlets, we aim to enhance the overall atmosphere and provide a variety of options that cater to every taste and preference. Simultaneously, this presents a great opportunity to introduce our vibrant retail landscape and drive sales to our airport retailers. We expect to achieve more than RM200 million in sales revenue from LTW 2024 this year,” Hani says.

The LTW campaign is more than just a competition; it’s part of a larger strategy to enhance the airport retail landscape. As of March 2024, 81 per cent of awarded new stores are open across all participating airports. Duty-free outlets are undergoing significant renovations, with Eraman Duty Free, the retail partner for Licence To Win, already unveiling two revamped stores at KLIA Terminal 1.
