Cover Grand Hyatt Singapore to reopen in July 2024

Following a two-year-long renovation, the iconic Grand Hyatt Singapore is slated to reopen this month with a reimagined space, refreshed dining concepts and more

The long wait is finally over as Singapore’s iconic Grand Hyatt is set to reopen on July 10, 2024.

Following an extensive makeover, this will be the first phase of the hotel’s multi-year transformation. The reimagined urban sanctuary promises to blend luxury with sustainability, offering travellers new and tranquil spaces.

The progressive reopening begins with the nature-inspired Terrace Wing which offers a secluded retreat within the bustling Orchard Road district. Here, guests can expect 292 rooms that reflect Singapore’s identity as a ‘city in nature’. Rooms featuring soothing neutral tones and elegant wooden furnishings create a resort-like ambience in the city's heart. At the heart of the wing is a stunning tropical garden with waterfalls, a 24-hour Fitness Centre, an outdoor lawn area and more.

When it comes to wellness, the reimagined Damai will offer various therapeutic rituals backed by science and traditional remedies. Within the newly transformed space, find facilities like the Wellness Pool, Halo Steam Room, Dual Therapy Sauna and more.

Gourmands will be pleased to know that the reopening also includes the return of StraitsKitchen. Step into the restaurant and find refreshed interiors and perfected menus featuring an extensive array of uniquely Singaporean specialities. Look forward to all-time favourites such as chilli crab, laksa and butter chicken. The hotel’s underground nightspot Brix also makes a comeback, allowing imbibers to enjoy live music while sipping on mouthwatering concoctions.

Grand Hyatt Singapore is also doubling down on its sustainability efforts. The hotel is set to operate on 100 per cent renewable electricity and feature an enhanced food waste management system. A new automated in-house water bottling plant will also provide purified water in reusable glass bottles.

There’s much to look forward to when it comes to Grand Hyatt’s latest reopening and this is just the beginning. Later in 2024, the hotel will debut the highly anticipated Le Pristine Singapore, a collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Sergio Herman. The hotel’s poolside dining restaurant Oasis and classic Italian restaurant Pete’s Place are also set to return. Come early 2025, anticipate the opening of the hotel’s Grand Wing, offering more lavish guestrooms and suites.

With much to look forward to, the thoughtful renovation seems poised to set a new standard for urban hospitality in Singapore.
