Cover In 2026, this journey reaches a new climax with the "LAND OF ECHOES" project. The name itself is like a reflection: The land breathes, and the land echoes. This perfectly reflects the resort's core philosophy: Culture is the root, people are the source of energy. Pic: Shilla Monogram Danang

Standing as a bridge, Shilla Monogram Danang connects the vibrant, modern pulse of Da Nang City with the quiet, lantern-lit charm of the historic Hoi An Ancient Town. Yet, beneath the calm of the ocean and the comfort of our hospitality, the resort is nurturing something deeper: a commitment to the culture

Through the cultural initiative, "Meet the Artist," Shilla Monogram Danang has evolved into a living gallery - a space where the service of the present meets the enduring traditions of the past. In 2026, this commitment reaches a new moment with the launch of our latest immersive synergy, titled "ĐẤT VANG."

The title itself is a meditation: Earth breathes, earth resonates. It is a reflection of the resort’s core philosophy, one that holds close: Culture is the root and Humanity is the energy.

Đất represents the root. For the Đàn Đó ensemble, Đất is physical and tactile. It is the clay and pottery painstakingly shaped into bespoke ceramic instruments, such as the Trống Chum, and the wild, resilient bamboo that draws life directly from the earth. For the French contemporary artist Mathilde Granveau, Đất manifests as a visual language - the earthy tones, the organic textures, and the ethnic lifestyles that ground her narratives onto the canvas, turning the topography of Vietnam into a study of geometry and soul.

If Đất is the foundation, Vang is the aura. It is the movement, the sound, and the presence that follows creation. Vang is the sensory aftermath. It is the acoustic echo of Đàn Đó’s primitive yet deeply sophisticated orchestration as it fills the resort’s air. Simultaneously, it is the powerful, silent resonance that radiates from Mathilde’s geometric paintings, leaving an imprint on the viewer.

A Symbiosis of Two Worlds

The collaboration brings together two distinct voices, each reflecting a deep devotion to their craft.

The Đàn Đó ensemble arrives at Shilla Monogram Danang with nearly 15 years of rigorous craftsmanship behind them. They have not merely mastered music; they have engineered it from the ground up, handcrafting over 30 original bamboo and ceramic instruments. Their performance is an unprecedented soundscape - an "orchestra of bamboo and earth" that feels simultaneously ancient and avant-garde.

In counterpoint to this auditory journey is the visual serenity of Mathilde Granveau. A French contemporary artist whose perspective has been forged in the crucible of her travels - France, Laos, Turkey, and now Vietnam - Mathilde explores the friction between structure and movement, precision and intuition. Her ROOTS collection is a sanctuary of reflection. Her art does not clamor for attention; rather, it invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the timeless spirit of local traditions.

The Shilla Monogram Philosophy

Tatler Asia

Shilla Monogram Danang, the strategic flagship property managed by The Shilla Hotels & Resorts - the hospitality entity of the Samsung Group - has always operated with a vision of blending "Signature Sophistication" with authentic local flavor. This approach extends beyond architecture and service into the very heart of the community.

The resort has evolved into a hub for culture in Central Vietnam, a place where the beauty of a performance or the depth of a painting is given the room to breathe.
General Manager - Karim Meziane, who views this series as essential to the resort’s life, notes the importance of this ongoing cultural dialogue. "Culture is the root and Humanity is the energy," Mr. Meziane reflects. "In the resonance of the bamboo instruments and the geometric patterns of the ROOTS collection, our guests are invited to witness this energy firsthand. We believe that art, like the earth itself, is something that must be nurtured, protected, and shared. By opening our doors to these creators, we are not just hosting an event; we are inviting our guests to participate in the ongoing story of Vietnam."

The resort serves as a "third space" for the modern traveler: a place where 309 ocean-view rooms, the holistic therapies of the Sulwhasoo Spa, and the tranquility of the therapy gardens provide the stillness required to appreciate the complexity of the world outside. Here, the art of living well is defined by the stories we collect and the connections we make. As the final echoes of the Vang fade, what remains is the foundation—the Đất—and the realization that luxury is best defined by the roots we share.
Event time: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM on June 25, 2026, at Shilla Monogram Danang. Following that, the exhibition will be open to the public from June 26 to July 3, 2026, at the hotel.
