6 Asian cities are in the top 10 list of cities with the best skylines. Which one will you choose for your next adventure?
Hong Kong’s skyline is iconic—and we don’t need to be on any list to know that. But it does feel good that our beloved city’s skyline has been officially recognised as among the very best in the world, according to a recent study by Slingo. The company scrutinised the world’s most iconic skylines, analysing social media data, the number of skyscrapers each city boasts, and how closely they match the ‘golden ratio’—which in archeological term means a mathematical constant which is used to create well-balanced structures.
New York, which has 318 buildings which are more than 150m tall, clinched top spot among the world’s best skylines, while from Asia, several cities nabbed places in the top 10: Dubai at 2nd spot, Mumbai at 4th, Shanghai at 5th, then Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore at 7th, 8th and 9th respectively. Which one will you be flying to next for the best Instagram-worthy views of iconic skylines?
