Above Chef Wan is excited to share Malaysia's unique food culture with international travellers
Considering Qatar Airway won the Skytrax World's Best Business Class Onboard Catering 2021, this project is a huge deal for the Malaysian chef. Chef Wan's menu highlights Malaysian flavours and traditional Malay cooking techniques. It starts with a trio of appetisers, namely Poached Prawns and Mango Salad With Glass Noodles, Duo Pomelo Salad, and Seared Scallop and Tuna With Papaya Salad.
The main course is a mouth-watering choice of Charcoal-Grilled Fish Fillet With Spicy Portuguese Sauce served with Lemuni Rice, Lamb Kuzi with Terengganu-Style Rice Cashew Nut and Acah Buah, or Chicken Percik With Lemon Rice Pilaf.
The meal ends on a sweet note with one of Malaysia's most beloved snacks, goreng pisang (fried banana fritters) but interpreted as Deep Fried Caramel Banana by Chef Wan. This will be served as part of the sweet platter that also includes Mango Crème Brûlée.
