Cover Omega Trophy golf tournament took place as a women-only event at the Saujana Golf & Country Club

This year’s Omega Trophy golf tournament acknowledges the significance of women in the world of golf

Over its illustrious history, Omega has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the world of sports, aligning itself with the pursuit of excellence and precision that defines sporting endeavours. This deep dedication mirrors Omega’s authentic passion for the essence of sports and its earnest desire to celebrate the remarkable achievements of athletes.

In keeping with this tradition, this year’s Malaysian edition of the Omega Trophy golf tournament took place as a women-only event on September 26, 2023, at the prestigious Saujana Golf & Country Club. The game brought together 53 exceptional women players, ranging from seasoned golfers to passionate enthusiasts.

The nine-hole competition saw participants split into four groups, creating an atmosphere characterised by remarkable skill, camaraderie, and the true spirit of sportsmanship providing an all-encompassing and delightful experience for women golfers in Malaysia. After the game, the ladies also got an opportunity to engrave their names in specially made fans befitting the evening’s dinner theme, ‘Chinatown Chic’.

As the sun set on this memorable day, a grand prize-giving ceremony and dinner unfolded at Ti Chen where guests adorned stylish cheongsams, enhancing the ambience with subtle oriental decor and table settings. The evening was made even more special with dazzling displays of Omega watches, including the new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades, the Seamaster Summer Blue Collection, the iconic Omega Constellation, and more.

The pinnacle of the evening was Tan San Lin’s crowning as this year’s Omega Trophy champion, who earned the coveted Omega Flower Bracelet after accumulating 19 points and prevailing on countback. Runner-up Ning Harris was rewarded with a pair of Omega Flower Earrings, while Haryanti Che Mat secured third place and received an Omega Flower Necklace. Each of the top 10 winners of the day was presented with a stunning Omega trophy, a symbol of their outstanding achievements, by Martin Issing, Vice President of Omega Malaysia.
