Celebrating the life and achievements of famed footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, the CR7 Life Museum will open at K11 Musea in July
A museum dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo, named CR7 Life Museum, is confirmed to run at K11 Musea from July 7, 2025 to June 2026. The Portuguese footballer has an original, permanent museum space with the same name that is located in his birthplace in Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira. This Hong Kong version is envisioned as part of the museum’s touring exhibition, with Hong Kong being its first destination.
Celebrating Ronaldo’s life and achievements, the CR7 Life Museum in Hong Kong will offer 12,000 sq ft of digital experience, presenting rare memorabilia, exhibits of his trophies and interactive storytelling centred on his legendary career. There will also be a YouTube studio for photo moments.

“We have always planned to take the museum abroad [in the form of a] travelling museum,” says Luis Parafita from the CR7 family office. He said at the press conference at The Regent earlier today that his team did a smaller test exhibition in Riyadh two years ago for three months and was delighted by its popularity. “So now we created here the first one that will travel to other places.”
The space is named “life museum” as it suggests how the space showcases “more than Cristiano’s career [but also] his life, his experiences, his family, where he started, where he is right now, and where he will continue to be, because the story will continue,” he says.
“My generation’s superheroes are characters like Superman and Spiderman, but this generation’s superheroes are real people like Cristiano, who is a real superhero with values that inspire the next generation,” says Tomas Froes, another member of the CR7 family office. “[CR7 Life Museum] is about his legacy, his values and inspiring the new generations [of his] ambition, discipline and the winning mentality.”

Hong Kong will be a major next chapter for Ronaldo, as Parafita describes the city as “the door to Asia, and we have a huge fan base here. So the connection that Cristiano already has with China and Asia is huge. Every year, he comes to this region of the world. So [the city] was a natural selection.” Froes adds that the footballer chose Hong Kong because of “the big market, big funds and big community of Asia”.
Speaking on a broader spectrum of how the museum fits into the sports and cultural landscape of Hong Kong, Allan Zeman, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, which is CR7 Life Museum’s official entertainment partner, says, “For a world class player to pick his first [touring] museum in K11 Musea, it’s just a testament [that] Hong Kong is such a great city.” Zeman adds that sports have now become one of the biggest attractions in Hong Kong, naming the popularity of the rugby and football games in town. “I know this museum [as] the testament to Hong Kong is something really special and unique.”

Apart from the museum, there will also be the first-ever CR7 Life Museum official flagship store on the seventh floor of Times Square, Causeway Bay. It will offer lifestyle collections selected by Ronaldo, including apparel, homeware and fragrance. The shop also comes with a Portuguese café offering Portuguese artisanal pastries as a nod to the footballer’s home country. Some of the merchandise will also be available on the flights of HKExpress Airways, which is the museum’s official Asia airline partner.
There is no announcement on whether the football star will attend the opening of the museum, as his schedule and decision to continue to play are still up in the air. Froes hints, however, that his return to Hong Kong is in plans.
