Competing for the UCI Proteam class in the 2023 season, Tudor’s team of professionals dare to take cycling to the next level

In one too many firsthand experiences in the Philippines, cycling is often distinguished as one of the starter sports parents teach and bond over with their children. Families go to parks with available bicycle rental as a leisure activity or a weekend routine in par with quality time. Over time, being a cyclist became a trend with fashionable fixed gears and stylish road bikes scattered between the cities en route to farther locations or used to exhibit bike tricks. One can easily recall a time when their cyclist friends were inviting them to cop a bike, meet at the nearest spot within Manila, ride to Tagaytay, and back again.

Soon after, the act of riding bicycles evolved into an acknowledged combination of exercise in terms of intensely getting some sweat out and an ideal means of transportation to immediately get from one point to another, beating the insufferable city traffic. Social media stories boast kilometres and courses tread by committed cyclists while other posts are striking selfies in their sports outfits or on-the-track point of view. But whether a racer or casual rider looking beneath all that fond memory, cycling has always been a professional sport—if not separately, docketed under the triathlon or Olympics.

Road bicycle racing can be traced from the 19th century alongside Union Cycliste Internationale which is a prominent host for cycling events with the goal of inspiring everyone to start their own; encouraging people to 'pedal to experience the power of bike'. Amongst many cycling competitions like Grand Prix de Québec, Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España, UCI Cycling World Championships is recognised as one of the biggest cycling events ever which feature the greatest riders all over the world competing for the crown. And this coming 2023 from August 3 to 13, the championship will take place in Glasgow, Scotland. The promised 11 days filled with action is a much-awaited season, especially for Tudor’s Pro Cycling Team.
