Fandi Ahmad burst onto the football scene in the late 1970s, where he remained a leading player until his retirement two decades later. Since hanging up his boots, he had taken up managerial roles at a number of clubs including Singapore Armed Forces and Madura United F.C. in Indonesia. Now, the father of five serves as the technical adviser for Malaysia Super League club, Sri Pahang.

Real Madrid.
Which World Cup 2022 team is one to watch?
I would say Brazil. It exports so many talented players around the world and I think they will have a good chance to win it this time.
What is the best final you have played?
The 1994 Malaysia Cup final.
What is the best final you've ever watched?
Milan vs Liverpool FC, the Champions League 2005 final in Istanbul. Amazing game.
Your favourite game that you've played?
Against Inter Milan.
What is your favourite game you've ever watched?
Argentina vs. England in the 1986 World Cup. I was there in Mexico and saw the "hand of God"!
