Dr Hayden Kho, Jr’s birthday was a warm, intimate celebration of friendship and love, highlighted by heartfelt moments, soulful performances and a superb menu
A celebration that radiated warmth, intimacy and pure joy, Dr Hayden Kho, Jr’s birthday was a cosy gathering of cherished friends united to honour a truly admired individual.
Planning this special night took a few weeks, with the help of his good friends Anton San Diego and Jojie Dingcong. Their goal was crystal clear: to craft an evening that was both personal and memorable. Every little detail, from the guest list to the carefully thought-out playlist, was selected with love and care.
The dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary! Executive chef Gilbert Pangilinan from Manila House created a multi-course menu that seamlessly blended global flair with Filipino flavours. Guests indulged in a delightful array, featuring baked salmon and almond pesto pasta, as well as a standout wagyu beef dish, all topped off with a selection of delicate desserts. Each course was expertly paired with exquisite wines that complemented the flavours beautifully.

When it was time for the candle-blowing moment, Kho took the microphone to share his genuine appreciation for everyone present, especially his partner, Dr Vicki Belo. “If you are here, it means I treasure your friendship!” Kho said. Acknowledging his journey, he told Belo, “I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes, and living a Christian life is impossible, but I do my best.” In a beautifully tender moment, Kho serenaded her with a song that moved her to tears.

The performances that night were a delightful mix of soulful melodies and upbeat celebrations, featuring a stunning musical number by Small Laude and Solenn Heussaff.
Through laughter, a few tears, uplifting songs and Tessa Prieto’s playful anecdotes, the night shone brightly with sincerity. It was more than just marking another year in Kho’s life; it was a heartfelt celebration of friendship, love and the beautiful connections that bind us. Surrounded by those who genuinely care for him, Kho's birthday became a delightful tribute to life’s blessings and bonds shared.
