Innovation meets opulence in the Rolls Royce Spectre, the world's first ultra-luxury electric super coupé

You don't have to be a car enthusiast to be familiar with Rolls Royce. The British luxury automobile maker has recently debuted its first fully-electric motor car, ushering in a new era for the brand. Called the Spectre, the vehicle will be delivered to its pioneer customers in the fourth quarter of 2023. The name itself encapsulates the vehicle's near-silent running and is a testament to the maker's design prowess. It is said to be the "spiritual predecessor" of the successful Rolls Royce Phantom Coupé.

Rolls Royce CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, had previously emphasised that the Spectre is "a Rolls-Royce first and an electric car second,” emphasising the quality of its manufacturer.

There are a handful of muses that helped to inspire the birth of the Spectre. Rolls Royce has pointed to marrying haute couture, modernist sculpture, nautical design, tailoring and contemporary art to create this vehicle, provisioned with the most technologically advanced Bespoke features yet. The Spectre is available with Starlight Doors and the option of Canadel wood panelling. Its all-new front seat design boasts inspired British tailoring and a revolutionary "decentralised intelligence" system called Spirit integrates the marque's Whispers application, allowing Rolls Royce owners to interact with their car remotely. Powering all this is a 700kg battery which also deadens sound and provides users a silent, relaxing ride.

In terms of engineering, Spectre boasts a planar suspension system that reduces "high-frequency ride imperfections". This gives its riders the experience of a smooth ride, helping to ensure that steering, braking, and power delivery are effortlessly controlled. To prepare the Spectre for commercial release, Rolls Royce is continuously subjecting the vehicle to various tests to ensure that they deliver the best of the best with Spectre.
