Even the new name of the replacement for its long-running Aventador super sports car has been shrouded in secrecy during its development. Now, all has been revealed at an exclusive unveiling event that Tatler Singapore was invited to
Are you ready to experience the thrill of the world's first V12 HPEV hybrid super sports car?
Italian luxury sportscar manufacturer Lamborghini has announced the unveiling of their latest creation, dubbed the Revuelto. This project has been in the works for quite some time as the company sought to balance their storied history with an electrified future and Tatler Singapore was the only Southeast Asian media present to witness this unveiling.
Rather than going completely electric, Lamborghini has retained their beloved V12 engines by incorporating a sophisticated plug-in hybrid electric system, thus allowing the vehicle to qualify as an Electrified Vehicle. While electric vehicles are known for their silence, Lamborghini understands the importance of the emotional soundtrack provided by a petrol combustion engine, and thus has kept the V12 engine to deliver that experience.

“The new Revuelto is a milestone in the history of Lamborghini, and an important pillar in our Direzione Cor Tauri (Cor Tauri is the brightest star in the constellation Taurus and represents Lamborghini's direction towards an electrified future) electrification strategy," says Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini chairman and CEO.
“The Revuelto is a unique and innovative car but at the same time faithful to Lamborghini’s tradition: the V12 is an iconic symbol of our super sports heritage and history. Revuelto was born to break the mould, combining a new 12-cylinder engine with hybrid technology, creating the perfect balance between delivering the emotion
that our clients want with the necessity to reduce emissions."
The Revuelto boasts a carbon-fibre monofusolage chassis that supports three electric motors, a 6.5-litre V12, and a lithium-ion battery, delivering a thrilling driving experience. The monofusolage is designed using the "rocker ring" approach, which makes it both stronger and lighter, adding to the overall performance.
"The Revuelto is adrenaline made visible," says Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini Head of Design. "The design of the new Lamborghini Revuelto opens a fascinating door towards the future of our unique design language”. At first sight, Revuelto is an intriguing next-generation Lamborghini V12, with bold lines embracing the monocoque and offering a clear view of the V12 HPEV powertrain.
The vehicle offers 13 different drive modes that provide varying responses for city, highway, and track driving, ensuring a driving experience tailored to your needs. The Revuelto also features a transverse-mounted 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox that promises improved performance, refinement, and efficiency.
Additionally, the car includes active aerodynamics that can lower drag for top speed and increase downforce for track driving or fast road use. The Revuelto weighs in at approximately 1780kg, and with the lightened V12 engine alone contributing 825 hp, and the electric motors adding 190 hp, the total output is an astounding 1015 hp.
With a top speed of 350 km/h, the Revuelto can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach 200 km/h in under 7 seconds. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q4 2023 in Europe, so get ready to experience the ultimate driving experience with Lamborghini's latest creation.
