As working parents, Tan Shen Wain and Lim Ai San have to learn to navigate city living's brutal pace. Apart from running a family business, the couple also have four children to care for, leaving them little them for anything else. However, they have also learnt that it is also important for them to take some time off and take care of themselves.
For a healthy distraction, Tan has discovered road biking. "Being active and healthy has always been my way life but being part of the community of road bikers has taught me to be stronger and faster," he says. "It helps me to unwind and prepare for the day."
Meanwhile, Lim loves to go for a run. "I was never an athlete but running empowers me to want to do more, go further and unleash everything," she enthuses.
Although they have different workout preferences, they profess that their shared belief in a healthy and active lifestyle has only brought them closer.
